Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how PDF Master ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application, PDF Master (the "App"). We are dedicated to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a secure experience when managing and editing your documents.
1. Information We Collect and Process
A. Local Files and Document Data
PDF Master is primarily a local utility application.
Local Processing: All core functionalities—including viewing, reading, and organizing your PDF files—are performed locally on your mobile device.
No Server Storage: We do not upload, collect, or store the contents of your documents, text, or personal files on our servers. Your documents remain entirely under your control on your device.
B. Third-Party Analytics and Service Data
To maintain app stability, analyze usage trends, and offer our services for free, we integrate trusted third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs). These third parties may collect non-personal, anonymized technical data, including:
Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and language settings.
Usage Statistics: Feature interaction logs, session duration, and app activity.
Crash Reports: Stack traces, system states, and error logs when an unexpected crash occurs.
The third-party service providers we use include:
Google Play Services
Google Analytics for Firebase
Firebase Crashlytics
AdMob (Google Ad Services)
For more details on how Google processes your data, please visit Google’s Privacy & Terms.
2. Permissions Required and Their Usage
To deliver PDF viewing and file management features effectively, PDF Master may request the following permissions on your device. We access these permissions only when explicitly required to perform a function requested by you:
Storage Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used on Android 10 and below to search, open, save, and export PDF documents on your device.
All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): On Android 11 and above, this permission is required as a core functionality to scan, display, rename, delete, and organize PDF documents across your device’s storage.
Camera (CAMERA): (Optional) Used only if you use the document scanner feature to capture images and convert them into PDF files directly within the App.
Internet & Network Access (INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used to check network connectivity, load non-sensitive app configuration data, and serve advertisements.
3. Advertising and Personalization
We may display advertisements within PDF Master using third-party advertising networks like Google AdMob.
Ad networks may use device advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID) to serve personalized ads, measure ad performance, and prevent advertising fraud.
Your Control: You can opt out of personalized interest-based advertising at any time through your device settings:
Android: Go to Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization (or Reset Advertising ID).
4. Data Security
We prioritize the security of your information:
Since your PDF files stay on your device, their security is governed by your device's built-in security features and your personal security practices.
Any technical data transmitted to third-party services (such as crash reporting or analytics) is encrypted in transit using standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.
5. Children’s Privacy
PDF Master is a general-audience utility app and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will take prompt steps to remove such data.
6. Your Rights and Data Control
Depending on your jurisdiction (such as under the GDPR or CCPA), you have full control over your privacy:
Permission Revocation: You can grant or revoke any app permission at any time via your device’s Settings > Apps > PDF Master > Permissions.
Data Removal: Since we do not store your documents or personal data on remote servers, simply clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App from your device will erase all locally processed information.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be updated on this page with a revised "Effective Date." We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
